25th Oct 2021 Reading Time: 1 min Share by Felix Holland Wales have called up veteran winger Alex Cuthbert for the first time in four years on the eve of the Autumn Nations Series The 31-year-old has 47 Wales caps and is bidding to make his first Test appearance since November 2017, when he took to the field against Georgia. Cuthbert has 16 Wales tries and was a key member of their successful Six Nations-winning sides in 2012 and 2013, while he also toured with The British & Irish Lions in 2013. The winger moved to England to play for Exeter Chiefs in 2018 but signed for Ospreys in the summer and moved back into international contention. He has four chances to get on the field in the Autumn Nations Series, with Wales set to host New Zealand in their opening game on Saturday. They then entertain South Africa, Fiji and Australia in successive weeks. Cuthbert scored the last of his 16 Test tries against Tonga in June 2017, while perhaps his biggest moment came in 2013 when he crossed for two scores against England in a Six Nations decider in Cardiff.
